Both stations were on air with reports and analysis on Tuesday’s attack on #EndSARS protesters by unknown soldiers at the Lekki Toll Gate, in Lagos.

First to be attacked was TVC, a station linked to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC national leader, which was reportedly set ablaze while “Your View”, one of the station’s breakfast programmes anchored by Morayo Afolabi-Brown was airing.

Premium Times reported that a staff of TVC confirmed to one of its reporters stating that parts of the station was already up in flames with some journalists and other workers on night and early morning duties trapped.

“Yes, I can confirm it. Cars within the compound are already on fire and parts of the station are in flames. Our popular morning programme “Your View” that was ongoing before the attack is already off air. Please pray for our colleagues who are trapped and taking cover in the compound,” Premium Times quoted a source to have declared.

Meanwhile the attack on Channels Television happened when Ayo Makinde, a Channels TV correspondent was attacked shortly after he reported how the police were shooting at protesters.

While Channels TV was just resuming broaddcast as at the time of going to press, TVC, however was still off the air.
