THE governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has proposed to abolish the controversial pension and entitlements law of 2007 through which huge pensions and other ridiculous entitlements are paid to former governors and deputy governors of the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s intentions are contained in his 2021 Appropriation Bill presented to the Lagos State House of Assembly today, Tuesday, November 10, 2020.
In the budget estimate, the government proposed to spend N1.154 trillion for capital and recurrent expenditures.
