THE Annual Public Lecture of the Society for International Relations Awareness (SIRA) is scheduled to hold next week, Saturday, August 21, 2021, an announcement contained in a public notice has stated.
The notice, signed by the President of SIRA, Owei Lakemfa, and the Chairperson of SIRA’s Public Relations Committee, Oseloka Henry Obaze (OHO), stated that this year’s Public Lecture holds under the theme: “Continuity and Change in Nigeria’s Foreign Policy Under President Muhammadu Buhari.”

The lecture, which will be delivered by Prof Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to the President and former Minister of Foreign Affairs; has Amb Joe Keshi, former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Chairman; and Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Special Guest of Honour.
The annual event will also witness the presentation of SIRA’s 2021 book entitled; Multilateralism in the Contemporary World, to be presented by the Distinguished Guest of Honour and Book Presenter, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State.
Scheduled as discussants of the lecture are Rear Admiral Anthony Isa, former Commandant, National Defence College (NDC), and Julie G. Sanda, Principal Research Fellow, Centre for Strategic Research and Studies, NDC
The 2021 Annual Lecture will hold at the Rotunda Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tafawa Balewa Building, Federal Secretariat, Central Business District, Abuja, by 11am.
